Hard to believe you survived long enough to write this!

"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

yeah … Im documenting the descent and end result…and its awesome .

I dont feel its wrong to write about despite my drug free life and advocacy now… as its not like my stories say

“I did drugs and bad things and things turned out great. “

Its

“ I did drugs and bad things and I went insane and would up beyond fucked. It was still great… but a different kind of great.

I hope I caught the rot early and my 20 years of Clean living saved me…

I pray every day I dont rip open like a moldy rotten pumpkin… you know .. one that looks good on the outside!

The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom. Prudence is a rich ugly old maid courted by Incapacity. He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence. The cut worm forgives the plow. Dip him in the river who loves water. etc…

I think there are 3 classe of people.

People who can’t learn.

2. People who can only learn by repeated hard beatings ( ME )

People who can learn by study and observation.

I hope people read my substack - have a laugh and are turned off by drugs and go on to do productive awesome things like rock climbing or growing food for their family.

Its a conundrum…after the thug life, I became a Chemical Dependency Counsellor and then Trauma Counsellor… at one point working with undercover vice cops in NY.

If I hadd’t done what I had done… i would probably just become a… dunno…. yoga teacher with a man bun… ? ahah

You make me glad (if that matters) - as the wife of a once outsider. 53 years. For the humor alone I’d say it’s worth it. Better than a sermon and much less traumatic than a morality play.

‘Yoga teacher with a man bun.’

Fate worse than death to willingly convert to faggotry.

I'm clean for decades now, but back in the day I remember someone saying "drugs will get you through a month without money, better than money will get you through a month without drugs"

Just sayin'

When you are a druggie all money is - is a way to get Drugs... We used to stay that and be serious and thus spend ALL our money on drugs right away...

Back then when someone asked me to quit blazing... I would arrogantly say

"I would rather quit eating."

Impossible though... because munchies...

Like Freewheelin’ Franklin says: Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope.

ha ha, I just got here and posted my version of that old saw, and now I see yours beat me by 2 weeks.

So we're both right.

More important, we're still kicking.

Substack as proof of life.
